Yes… Friday is finally here and most of you have probably grabbed your tents and wellies and are on your way to Vfest. It’s going to be a extremely messy weekend and there are two ways you can spend next week to mark the end of August – recovering and reminiscing about your wild weekend, or you can get on with it, stop feeling sorry for yourself and enjoy life!
We have a list of pop-up’s still available to visit until the end of the month…
1. The Well presents AbraCachaça
Inspired by Rio Carnival, The Well’s basement bar transports you to Brazil with its beach bar and tropical tipples from Ypióca cachaça and plenty of exotic bar snacks.
The Bluebird, Chelse and Maggie’s night club have teamed up to bring you 80’s fever. Take a seat at one of the Rubik’s cube tables, bean bag chairs or get involved in some vintage arcade games and ping-pong tournaments, or just come along for some groovy music.
3. BossLady Noodle Bar
BossLady brings authentic Hong Kong ngau lam mein (noodles with beef brisket), rumored to be a great hangover cure.
4. Croft Kitchen takeover of Vegabond Coffee
Serving quintessentially British food, this pop-up is brought to us by Phil Walther (of Barrafina) and Katy Sethna (who worked under Gordon Ramsay at Claridges). You can expect seven courses of local produce from Brockwell Gardens in dishes such as pulled lamb, lovage and burnt hay, followed by blackcurrant leaf sorbet.
The Dalson Rooftop welcomes diversity, hosting everything from gourmet foodie stalls to outdoor cinema, masterclasses to clothes swaps and DJs, with plenty of cold beer from their very own in-house brewery to accompany whichever activity you choose
6. Dinerama Street Food
Does 2-for-1 Vesper Martinis and duck mean anything to you?
7. Archer Street presents FESTIVAL
Ok so for those that aren’t off to Vfest, here is the next best thing – one pop up bar + winnebagos + a backstage area + a photo booth + a camping wagon + multi-coloured bunting + live music + DJs
Presenting booze, street food, DJs, set on the canal, there’s a floating pontoon and a bar in a boat. What better way to say bon voyage to summer?
9. Roofnic, Oxford Street
If you haven’t guessed by now Roofnic is the lovechild of rooftop and picnic delivered on top of the Marriott Hotel in Oxford Circus.
10. Summer Tales, Old Street
The insanely popular Summer Tales is still on until the end of August so best pop down to see what all the fuss is about while you still have time.
