Rumor has it, Tom Hiddleston, is said to be the next James Bond.
With Daniel Craig still on the throne as Bond, speculations are continuing to soar about who will take up the role of the brooding spy we all love so much. So far we’ve had rumors the new 007 agent might be played by either Iris Elba, Luke Evans or Aiden Turner, but much to our disappointment that’s all they were, rumors. Nevertheless, we continue our guessing game and the latest verdict on who will be cast for the role is Tom Hiddleston.
Known for his most recent role in The Night Manager, Hiddleston proved himself more than capable to take on a demanding action packed role, delivering on his character in the exhilarating BBC drama. However, despite this, Hiddleston has put these rumors to bed…
During the LA premiere of The Night Manager, Hiddleston said: “people have very strong opinions about Bond and why shouldn’t they? But it’s difficult to talk about because it’s a completely unreal conversation in a way. I haven’t spoken to anyone who makes those films.”
“It’s just an idea in people’s minds,” he continued. “So it’s quite hard to engage with because it hasn’t come from me if that makes sense.
“It’s odd because it’s becoming overwhelming – not the thing of it, but the number of people per day who bring it up, it’s actually becoming a weird thing to deal with.
“I feel like, I want to just make it stop because I have no power over it, but that’s what being famous is. You have no power over other people’s opinions.”
So there we go – he might not be up for the role of James Bond, but what about being cast in the next Magic Mike? His moves need a bit of work to brush him up to Channing Tatum’s level, but no doubt there’s definite potential….
