Founded in 2009, originally known as MEATwagon, MEATLiquor was founded by Yaianni Papoutsis, a pioneer of street food in the UK, and Scott Collins – both named by the London Evening Standard as one of the 1000 Most Influential People in London and one of the 500 most influential people in Britain according to The Peerage Publishes Debrett.
Four years on following a successful launch, the two have teamed up with head chef and co-founder of The Begging Bowl, Jane Alty, to design the limited edition Begging Bowl burger. Jane is known as the heart and soul of Peckham’s thai-street food restaurant The Begging Bowl.
Yianni and Jane have combined their talent on this delicious projects to bring you a must try summer favourite that is The Begging Bowl Burger – an offering of a delicious mess of grilled chicken marinated in traditional Thai style sauce infused with sweet pickled cucumbers, coriander leaves, fresh red chilies, topped with sriracha sauce imported especially form Thailand, and wrapped ever so tightly in a rice flour bun.
The Begging Bowl Burger is available now for a limited time at £10.50 at MEATliquor (London, Brighton and Leeds), £1 from every burger sold will be donated to Action Against Hunger.
