It’s been a long time coming – 20 years to be exact – since the cult classic, Trainspotting was released back in the late 90’s.
Award-winning director, Danny Boyle, returns for the long awaited sequel of Trainspotting, based on Irvine Welsh’s tale of Edinburgh drug addicts, which Sony have just announced will premiere in January 2017.
To our delight, Sony also announced that the original cast will also be returning: Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle.
The news of the film came just after Bremner was spotted as his character, Daniel “Spud” Murphy, during a pre-production in Edinburgh in May.
Trainspotting 2 is out in cinemas in 27th January 2017.
