Get ready to spend your Halloween indoors binge watching Netflix because after a yearlong wait, Stranger Things is back.
Season 1 followed the story of Will Byers’ (Noah Schnapp) creepy disappearance and the journey his three young best friends – Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) – and his mom (Winona Ryder), set out on to hunt him down. We watched as the gang ran into a mysterious girl with a shaved head and telepathic powers named Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) who decided to help. As the adventure unfolded, the kids uncovered terrifying supernatural forces and powers that all come together in the end.
The much-anticipated second season will pick up where it left off in 1984 in the city of Hawkins, Indiana. Will was finally rescued from the Upside Down and returned to his normal life, but the effects still have him reeling. The citizens are still in a frenzy after the horrors of the Demogorgon and Hawkins Lab. And now, a larger sinister being is lurking and is bound to threaten those who survived before. The poster teases something huge with the main characters all eerily staring up at something in the sky. Ominous.
The sci-fi drama was an enormous global hit, winning multiple awards while people fell in love with both the plot and the kid actors. We can’t wait to see what supernatural mysteries will unfold this time. But for now, all we have to watch is the trailer below.
Stranger Things 2 will launch globally on Netflix on 27th October.
