Based on a true story, Ben Foster stars as Lance Armstrong, an American former professional road racing cyclist.
After beginning his career in 1989, Armstrong won several Tour de France titles, among other victories. The athlete has been subject to doping allegations since winning the 1999 Tour de France race. In 2012 his whole world came crashing down as the allegations were unveiled as a reality. The Unites States Anti-Doping Agency claimed this was “the most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping program that sport has ever seen,” ultimately ending Armstrong’s career.
Academy Award nominated director, Stephen Frears, tells the story of the rise and fall of one of the most famous cyclists in recent history, Lance Armstrong. The movie details Armstrong’s life and racing career.
