From Snow White and The Huntsman, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and now Love, Rosie, Sam Claflin is a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood these days. Apart from his good looks, Claflin is proving to be an extremely talented actor playing many diverse characters including Alistair Ryle in The Riot Club. Although he originally aspired to be a footballer, a few injuries and a degree from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art after he is now appearing now in multiple major motion pictures and a number of television series.
The 27 year old actor has already worked next to two of Hollywoods leading actresses, Kristen Stewart and Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence. With the last installments of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in post-production and his upcoming romantic comedy starring alongside Lily Collins, there will be no shortage of Sam Claflin. Although he plays a rebellious ladies man in Catching Fire, Sam is married to the gorgeous Laura Haddock from The Inbetweeners. After meeting the actress at an audition, he called his agent and announced that he had found, ‘the one’.
In The Riot Club, Sam, the resident bad boy alongside a cast of studs, two first year Oxford University students join the Riot Club including Miles Richards, played by Max Irons. Camaraderie soon turns into a series sinister of events that morally test both Alistair and Miles. Later in that fall, Sam plays Alex Stewart in the film Love, Rosie based on Cecelia Ahern’s novel “Where Rainbows End.” The film follows best friends Alex and Rosie, played by Lily Collins, through the ups and downs of university and life after. This highly anticipated romantic comedy is due to come out 24th October 2014 and we cannot wait for Sam and Lily to collaborate in a down-to-earth flick.
